President John Evans Atta Mills has met with surgeons and staff of the National Cardiothoracic Centre (NCC) following the exit of Prof. K. Frimpong Boateng as the Director of the NCC.

After receiving a full brief and considering the petition sent him by surgeons and staff of the NCC this morning, the President proceeded to meet with them at the Castle at 2:30pm.

The NDC UK & Ireland Chapter strongly disassociates itself from a recent statement published on Ghana web by a Group calling itself “Konadu for 2012 UK Group”

The Group which claimed to support Nana Konadu’s bid for the flagbearership of the National Democratic Congress said in their statement that they were speaking on behalf of NDC members in the UK, including the NDC Executives across Europe.

The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC Kofi Adams met a cross session of the general membership of the NDC UK & Ireland Chapter and the media during a recent visit to London.

Mr Adams briefed Chapter members on the recent developments and challenges facing the National Party. He said the Party was aware of the difficulties facing Chapters in the Diaspora and that the Party was doing everything within its means to address those challenges.

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR INCITING VOILENCE, SAYS NDC USA

The NDC USA remains shocked at the quiet reaction of the Ghanaian Civil Society, concerning recent utterances by the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party. Nana Dankwa Akuffo is recorded as having stated that “… we Akans are not the cowards, we are perceived to be by other tribes.” He is also quoted as saying that, “the little violence that we displayed in Atiwa, is just a tip of the iceberg of what NPP will do in 2012”; and “ 2012 is going to be a 'do and die affair', after all, all die be die”
