GHANA NEEDS NO “Gbesie” OPPOSITION

Since 2008 when our late president Prof. Evans Atta- Mills became the number gentleman of our beloved motherland, some elements in Ghanaian politics were bent on denting his leadership style and making the nation ungovernable. I guess is naked truth that some small sections continue to think is their birth right to govern. Do you remember the famous pronouncement “we live to see if he can govern this country”….e yooooo!

Elephants killing elephants?

Chairman of the NPP, Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey

There is a popular saying that when two elephants fight it is the grass which suffers. But I have yet to hear from anyone about what happens when elephants kill themselves.

The Best Tribute we can give Komla Dumor

The sudden death of Komla Dumor came as a massive shock to me and all of us. As I read and listen to all the tributes that are coming through, they all point to the same direction. The fact that, he was a very dedicated hard working young man. His sense  of duty, his commitment, attitude to work, his professionalism, and his outstanding achievements, his contribution to humanity and development. His passion for the Africa as a whole and Ghana in particular had not been over emphasised.

NPP Is A Criminal Enterprise, Not A Political Party

 - Part2

What is it that former President Rawlings has to learn from former President Kufour, Mr Asuma Banda?

Sometimes it amazes me when people who are highly placed in society speak with gross ignorance and absence of logic! The recent public advice issued by Asuma Banda gives me a similar dissonance.

LESSONS TO BE LEARNT BY THE WORLD

As I reflect on the life of Nelson Mandela and his passing away into the world of his ancestors, I find striking similarities between him and another great but unsung leader. He is Ghana’s John Atta Mills of blessed memory. Inspite of their different backgrounds, they had many things in common.

Corruption in NPP should be investigated thoroughly

The New Patriotic party is the biggest opposition party in Ghana as of now. They ruled Ghana from 2001 to 2008. During their tenure in office, NPP were accused of series of corrupt practices which were not investigated thoroughly.

Eric Amoateng Is Coming Back In 2014

The goodness of the Ghanaian people is most evident during times of elections when we vote for representatives who, we trust, will have excellent integrity, avoid compromising enticements, are imbued with decent character traits, and will be genetically endowed with the spirit of personal and public sacrifice for the welfare of the wider populace.

Washrooms in Accra, a recipe for diseases

Public Toilet Have you ever used some of the public washroom facilities in Accra, especially those in Madina, the OSA bus terminal near Tema station and the 37 lorry station?, If yes then I sympathise with you for the experience you had; and if not then I advise that you should never try to do so because they are too dangerous to your health.

Book Review: In the Shadows of Politics:Reflections from My Mirror

Ghanaians have always complained about the failure of our prominent citizens, especially public office holders, to write their memoirs to serve as a guide and an inspiration to others.

Comparative analysis of corruption in NPP and NDC governments show that Ghana is better off under NDC than NPP.

We the members of the NDC UK and Ireland Chapter have been following closely discussions on corruption in our media.

NPP Is A Criminal Enterprise, Not A Political Party.

I don’t care how many university degrees that Busia and Danquah have between them. The truth is: they don’t know politics! Why? They are scared of you as scared of you as the British are …………….. Busia? He is a goat. Let him keep to his sociology! As a politician why? He is not worthy to stoop down and UNTIE MY SHOES TRINGS – Dr. Kwame Nkrumah at one of the massive rallies of the then great CPP at Wenchi, Busia’s home town.

Rejoinder: You are Cursed if You Don't Pay Tithes

The issue of tithe is a taboo to a lot of charismatic Christians. It is shrouded in fear and Ignorance; and in a country like Ghana, and for that matter Africa, where superstition reigns supreme, uncontested, it has an added frisson. The idea is one ridiculous mammoth scam foisted on unsuspecting believers by the so called men of God to extort money from the poor and the vulnerable. It is just a reminiscent of the medieval Catholic authorities who devised the notion of Indulgence to suck European Christendom dry like an insatiable vampire.

NDC UK & Ireland Chapter pours scorn on calls to probe Election Petition Judgment

The NDC UK and Ireland Chapter have noticed with some keen interest those in the NPP hierarchy who have turned themselves into protagonists in the alleged Victoria Hammah leaked tapes and   advocating for investigation into the so called leaked tapes circulating in the social media. We view the attempt by the NPP to use this unfortunate situation to play a political ball game as hypocritical; this clearly makes them the scorn of the entire Ghanaian community.
