NDC electoral reforms will bring power to the people

Open letter to Ghanaian MPs: Citizens need police protection too!

Congested Parliament Dear Members of Parliament!

The role of the Electoral Commission in electoral reforms

An electoral reform is a broad term that covers, among other things, improving the responsiveness of electoral processes to public desires and expectations. However, not every electoral change is an electoral reform.

7 Reasons JM Is Likely To Succeed

On January 7, 2013, a former Member of Parliament, once a former Deputy Minister who was also once a Cabinet Minister and later became a Vice-President of Ghana was sworn in as the 6th President of a democratic Ghana and the 4th of the 4th Republic of Ghana.

Comment: NPP falling apart?

Akuffo Addo Wins Npp Prez07 The fall-out from the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat at the Supreme Court last month in terms of open disagreements among leading party members appears to be increasing in its toxicity.

What is Really Wrong with The New Patriotic Party?

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central is reported to have said on OKAY FM that the NPP is sick. NPP being sick is a mild word for them. It goes more than that. We know that if you visit the Doctor’s office and tell the Doctor that you are sick, the Doctor will ask what is wrong with you. You either tell him/her or you go home. If the NPP were to be a real human being like you and I, their actions and inactions after the Supreme Court verdict would give Ghanaians the chance to ask; what is really wrong with the NPP? I guess it is EVERYTHING.

N.P.P must forget about 2016!

I know N.P.P politicians and supporters would not want to hear this. They still want to believe there is hope for them to unseat President Mahama. N.P.P still has that believe that they can unseat a seating president, that with all the advantages of incumbency they can still win. This is more akin to chasing the wind. The gospel truth is: N.P.P can never win an election against President Mahama!

Dr Afari Gyan Is Far More Credible Than Akufo-Addo

Akufo-Addo Doesn’t Deserve the Nobel Peace Prize

Akufo-Addo has finally written his own political obituary with a bogus case, a case he knew had no judicatory merit. As far as I can remember, he’s the second person in human history to have self-authored his political obituary—self-aware. The first was Moses. And as Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the NDC, recently intimated, Akufo-Addo deserves no commendation for resorting to legal redress. That is not far from the truth. I agree 100%. After all, that was within his legal rights.

Opinion: Otchere-Darko typifies the lazy thinking going on in the NPP

Folks, it is not often that I react to utterances made by some elements in the NPP. For what they are to me, they don't really turn my crank to warrant my wasting my breath on them. One such element is Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, the so-called Executive Director of the Danquah Institute.

Comment: So was the court all about shoring up Nana-Addo's popularity?

For eight months the whole country and indeed the world had been gripped by the election petition initiated by the three petitioners from my party, the New Patriotic Party. The three petitioners leading the charge were Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, the Party’s presidential candidate for the 2012 elections, his running mate, Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia and the party’s national Chairman, Jake Okanta Obetsebi Lamptey.

Nana Addo - Statesman my Foot

Ghanaians are a forgiving people. We thrive in adversity with our sense of humour and our ability to gross over past misdemeanors of others for the sake of peace. So suddenly, Nana Addo is a hero, a statesman, so revered by the international community, that if the likes of Kwaku Baako are to be believed, it is almost criminal for anyone to attempt to criticize him. Well, I will.

How can anybody say that Nkrumah was an opportunist?

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah returned home in 1947 and became general secretary of the newly formed UGCC. The country was under British Rule and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah seized the opportunity to sell his idea of self rule to the gold coast people on the hinges of the UGCC. While Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was busily touring the whole country convincing the people on the need to rally behind the UGCC for a formidable self governance, the founding fathers of the party pulled back their support fearing that Nkrumah was going to take the shine out of them because of his special oratory and how he was able

Is it true that petitioning the Supreme Court in an election dispute in Africa is therapeutic?

Democracy as described by Oxford dictionary,  is a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. It is also defined as government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people.

Avoid trivialities in matter of Ayews, KVP, Muntari

Elsewhere in this paper is a story emphasising the resolve of the Ayew Brothers to underline their much-publicised decision to return to national service at the Black Stars with a formal letter as being demanded of them by the Stars’ Management Committee and, for that matter, the Ghana Football Association.

The Team Of Popular Youth (TOPY) Contributes Peace Message Towards Supreme Court Verdict

As part of our contribution to the peace of Mother Ghana as it traverse a new terrain in our democratic dispensation where the Supreme Court of the land is called upon to determine the authenticity of the elected president, we shall be grateful if the following message is given your kind consideration for publication in our esteem media.

NPP’S election petition is very dangerous for Ghana

NPP’s interpretations of the electoral laws are problematic and detrimental to successful elections in the country. In fact, the petition is an embarrassment to the learned men and women of NPP. Here is a brief analysis of the petition.

Tithing is robbing and stealing from god's people !

This is the second and hopefully the concluding part of our discussion on tithing. And let me begin by saying that this article is intended for those who want to know the truth according to the Bible, and are willing to search the Scriptures to see whether these things are so. Acts 17:10-11. In the first part, many were enlightened and some burdens were lifted off many shoulders that have been groaning under the yoke of this bondage brought into the church by greedy or ignorant preachers. Others were mad because their false doctrines and greed and love for money have been exposed.

Well done, Mr President

In our part of the world, it is difficult for our leaders to say sorry for their own inaction or that of their men and women.

Go to court indeed.

As the lawyers of the stakeholders in the ongoing Supreme Court hearing ponder to write their submissions to claim victory most Ghanaians have become anxious because of the fear of unknown but two people panicking at this time are President John Dramani Mahama and Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan who have every thing to loose. The ordeal that Ghanaians are going through could have been avoided had Afari Gyan been little tolerant to his unfavorable party the NPP.
